Terms of service
Effective 21 October 2026. These terms apply to the Finanz mobile app and the Finanz web app.
1. The service
Finanz is a budgeting tool. It helps you plan what comes in, what goes out and what a debt still costs. It is provided as is: the app is a tool you keep the records in, and the accuracy of what it shows depends on what you enter.
2. Your account
Signing in with Google is optional and only serves to keep you signed in on a new device. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for the passphrase that protects a backup you create.
3. The subscription
Premium is sold as a subscription through Google Play. The trial lasts 14 days from your first sign-in and can be cancelled at any time in your Play Store account. If you do not subscribe, the app keeps working in its free form: the free form is permanent, it keeps your records on your device, and it shows advertising as described in the privacy policy. Premium removes the advertising and unlocks the encrypted backup and the shared family budget.
4. Acceptable use
Do not use the app to store or distribute unlawful material, do not attempt to attack the service or its dependencies, and do not resell access to it. Because the app has no server of its own, most of these rules apply to how you use the Google account and the Play Store rather than to the app itself.
5. No warranty
The app is provided without any warranty, to the extent the law allows. It is not accounting, tax or legal advice, and nothing it shows should be treated as such. Keep your own copies of the records that matter: the encrypted backup (a Premium feature) and the free export both exist for that reason.
6. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, the authors of Finanz are not liable for lost profits, lost data or any indirect damage arising from the use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
7. Changes
These terms may change. The date at the top changes with them, and the terms are versioned with the app's source code, so the history is public.
8. Contact
These terms are issued by SEDO Apps, a sole trader (Einzelunternehmer) operated by Sema Doğan in Germany. Questions go to sematutuncu0@gmail.com.
